Sephora’s peace offering to disappointed customers: $50 gift code

Previously, Sephora organized an Epic Rewards Day where their clients can exchange their rewards points for some really good stuff such as a trip to Lancome Paris. Unfortunately, a lot of their Beauty Insiders became frustrated when Sephora announced that the rewards were out of stock already.

Many were surprised but a lot of them were disappointed and set up an Epic Return, where they will return all the items they have bought in the past 60 days regardless of their conditions.

Apart from that, the frustrated customers are also making Sephora ship free samples obtained using their reward points in as many separate boxes as they can.

The customers feel that Sephora misled them into gathering up points for very good rewards only to find out that there were very few of them, leaving most of them sleepless and hanging on for nothing.

Sephora promised to get back to their customers two weeks after the great event. The company offers their customers a $50 gift code as peace offering.

The gift code can be used only once for orders of at least $50. If the gift code was used for purchases below the required amount, the customer will not be able to use its balance. Canadian customers have received their gift codes with 50 Canadian dollars. The code cannot be used along with other promo codes or coupons.

Sephora is generating the codes and sending the emails in waves and customers who joined the Epic Rewards Day should expect to receive an email soon.

Several customers are not satisfied with this kind of resolution because they feel that those who have racked up higher points should get codes valued higher, too.

Frustrated customers also promised not to shop at Sephora anymore mainly because they don't feel valued appropriately by the company.
