Just after two weeks since it unveiled, the McLaren 675LT is all booked out and car owners can expect to receive their sports car soon. The new McLaren 675LT Spyder is the latest car released by the McLaren team featuring a roofless version.

The car which was first unveiled during a motor show in early December and according to the manufacturer, only 500 units of the car will be produced giving the car a limited edition status. According to the Road and Track, the $350,000 car is fitted with a folding rooftop and weigh only 40 kg more than the coupe version.

The Spyder comes with a 3.8-litre twin turbo V8 engine, giving a total horsepower of 7,100 rpm and it also equipped with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission according to the International Business Time.  

The power equipped for the Spyder gives the car the ability to go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.9 seconds. The acceleration time is only 0.2 seconds behind its coupe siblings event though it is heavier.

Besides the impressive engine, the Mclaren 675LT also comes with an impressive exterior with its extended front splitter and a carbon fiber door sills. The car also features an impressive lightweight titanium crossover twin exhaust and it is larger compared to the Super Series models.

For the interior, the car comes with a luxurious yet sporty feels thanks to its Alcantara leather seats. Not only has that, the seats also come with a carbon-fiber-shelled racing seat perfect to give the driver a racing experience when driving in it.

The rate of which the car was sold also shocked the McLaren team as the Spyder will be its last high range car that will be produced by the team as they decided to stop the production of the McLaren P1 according to Cars UK.

According to its CEO, Mike Flewitt, "The McLaren P1^TM has achieved more than we ever expected of it since it was first previewed little over three years ago, both as a new generation of supercar and in enhancing the McLaren brand globally."

Although the company did not specify whether they will be producing any similar car in the future, observers predicted that it will be another 10 years before McLaren will produce a similar or better car. However, as for now, the company will still continue its production for the regular range which is below the 650S.
