Professional soccer player David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham are reportedly buying UK's most expensive country home estate for $57 million (£27million). According to unconfirmed market news, the couple is said to have purchased the Abbotswood estate.

The appearance of Beckham couple at estate house area is adding fuel to the rumors. The estate home is under cultural heritage category as it falls under Grade-II listed building as per the UK norms.

The sexiest man alive David Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham, have reportedly purchased the expansive country home.

Built in 1865, the spacious and well maintained 10-bedroom house is located in The Cotswolds, south central England. The estate house has five reception rooms. The Beckham couple can receive guests from any of these reception rooms.

According to Daily Mail, the built up space of the estate home is 24 times larger than the average new construction in modern Britain. The historic grand estate spanning over 774 acres is also known as The Abbotswood Estate. The spacious estate home has plenty of room for the Beckham couple and their four children.

The estate home is a Grade-II listed building as per the UK norms as it falls under cultural heritage building category. It protects the estate from destruction or any alteration owing to its cultural heritage.

In Curbed, a real estate online magazine, the countryside estate was described as having 10 bedrooms, six bathrooms and multiple formal dining rooms in addition to 13 separate cottages on the massive property.

Daily Mail describes the estate house as a place enough for 380 football pitches.

The rumors about Beckham couple buying the estate house sparked in the UK. The Beckham couple has become the talk of the town from the days when they were spotted in nearby Nailsworth. Still the rumors about property buying are not confirmed so far.

Jane Bandy, the landlady of the nearby Amberley Inn, said: "There have been a couple of people who have said about it. The fact that they were seen in Nailsworth adds fuel to the fire. They haven't popped in for a pint just yet, though."

Some villagers also told Mirror UK  that the Beckham couple has been seen around this area and everyone was talking about it.

Edwin Lutyens, one of the most popular landscape architects of his time, had designed the gardens around the estate home. The popular pair has mostly figured in Gloucestershire and are considered as the highest-profile couple.
