KLM Airline Checked Luggage Bags Not Allowed On Cairo’s Flight Flying Nov.6

By Staff Writer

KLM Airline's checked luggage bags will not be allowed on KL554 Flight, flying from Cairo to Amsterdam on Nov.6.  The travel advisory was announced six hours before KLM Boeing 777 departs Cairo at 4:05 a.m.

The travel advisory comes after the Russian Air jetliner disaster which killed 224 people on Saturday, Oct.31.  Since that day, several European airlines have increased their security measures by adding checked baggage restrictions. KLM Airline's checked luggage bags restriction is just one of the restricted policies of the airline to avoid repeated threats.

"KLM is currently informing passengers in Cairo that traveling with KL554 Cairo-Amsterdam on November 6, will be allowed if traveling with handluggage only, the statement says according to One Mile At A Time Boarding Area.  "Based on national and international information and out of precaution KLM will not allow checkin luggage. There are no restrictions regarding flying to and from the airport of Cairo. Flight KL553 will be executed according to flight schedule."

Meanwhile, President Barack Obama recently released a statement regarding the Oct.31 Russian jetliner crashing. He claimed that there's a high probability that a bomb killed the 224 people inside the carrier, Bloomberg reports.  Earlier, U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron stopped regular flights when earlier findings suggested terrorist attack.

"I think there is a possibility there was a bomb on board," Obama said in an interview broadcast on radio station KIRO in Seattle. "And we're taking that very seriously."

Apart from KLM Airline's checked luggage bags restriction, Lufthansa has also suspended flights to Sharm el-Sheikh. Following the Russian jetliner crash, quite a few airlines stopped flying across Sinai Peninsula while the United Kingdom impede their flights to Sharm el-Sheikh.

During KLM Airline's checked luggage bags restriction announcement, the airline also stated that passengers have the choice to rebook their scheduled flight on Nov.6 and travel with another airline.
