20 Active Job Listings with as much as 10 Percent Pay Raises Over the Year

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the national average salary increase from August 2014 to August 2015 was 2.3 percent. Meanwhile, job and career website Glassdoor found 20 active job listings with a salary increase that grew as much as 10 percent over the year.

Fast Company reported that the three jobs with the biggest pay raises over the past year are business system analyst with a median total salary of $81,000 in 2015, a 10 percent increase from $75,554 in 2014. Next is security officer with a median total salary of $24,000 in 2015, which is a 7 percent increase to 2014's $22,460. Third is sales consultant with a median total salary of $49,008 in 2015, a 7 percent increase from 2014's $45,945.

Meanwhile, the top three jobs with the highest pay and an above average raise are research scientist with a median salary of $85,000, which is a 4 percent increase from 2014's $81,680; software engineer with a median salary of $105,000, which is a 3 percent increase to 2014's $102,100; and network engineer with a median salary of $87,903, which is a 3 percent increase to 2014's $85,360.

For people looking to land a high paying job with prospects of pay raises, below are the rest of the top 20 jobs included in Glassdoor's list.

Pharmacy Technician has a total pay of $26,000 in 2015, which is a 6 percent increase from 2014's $24,500. The Barista has a total pay of $23,600 in 2015, a 6 percent increase from 2014's $22,249. Customer service manager has a total pay of $34,780 in 2015, a 5 percent increase from 2014's $33,051. Certified nursing assistant has $25,000 in 2015, a 5 percent increase from 2014's $23,840. A Financial analyst has a total pay of $71,650 in 2015, a 5 percent increase from 2014's $68,397. System analyst has a salary of $80,000 in 2015, a 4 percent increase from 2014's $76,575. 

Moreover, a programmer analyst has a total pay of $79,638 in 2015, a 4 percent increase from 2014's $76,575. Personal banker earns $41,861, a 4 percent increase from 2014's $40,373. Branch manager earns $63,500 in 2015, a 4 percent increase from 2014's $61,260. Research associate has a total pay of $51,948 in 2015 from $50,233 in 2014. Project engineer earns $75,000 in 2015 from $72,542 in 2014. Cashier earns $18,000 in 2015 from $17,420 in 2014. Cook earns $20,000 in 2015 from $19,400 in 2014.
