Kuwait Airways cancels New York-London Flight to avoid serving Israelis

By Staff Writer

Kuwait's national airline ditched its New York-to-London flight to avoid doing business with Israeli passengers. This shows how much the country hates Jews.

According to the New York Post, Kuwait Airways cancelled its flight for that popular and lucrative route as a reaction to American officials. The transport Department threatened to take out their permit to fly in the US if they continue to discriminate Israeli passengers. The airline said Kuwait prohibits its citizens from conducting business with people of the Jewish state.

In a report by USA Today, a department spokesperson Namrata Kolachalam said, "On December 15th, Kuwait Airways informed the United States Department of Transportation that they will be eliminating service between JFK and London Heathrow."

The cancellation follows the investigation by the Transportation Department on the refusal of the airlines to sell ticket to Israeli citizen Eldad Gatt from JFK to Heathrow back in 2013.

The airline's website has a notice for its JFK to Heathrow, saying, "Sorry, we were unable to process your request due to either no operating flight or no seats available."

News wrote that there are two cases when the airlines refused to sell New York to London tickets to people with Israeli passports.

According to the airline, it didn't sell tickets to Gatt, because Kuwait law forbids them to do have business transactions with Israel or Israelis. It said that their refusal to sell ticket to the Jewish passenger isn't discriminatory since they sell to any other race or nationality as long as they have passports that are valid in Kuwait.

Gatt's lawyer Jeffrey Lovitsky said, it is unfortunate that the airline completely cancelled ticket sales from New York to London instead of simply accepting Gatt as its passenger. "We would've preferred that Kuwait Airways relinquishes its continuing boycott of Israeli citizens," said the lawyer.

US Politicians, specifically Councilman Rory Lanceman said if the airlines are so anti-Semitic that they cancelled the flights instead of addressing the main issue, then it is best that they decided to ditch the flight.
