The All New 2016 Lamborghini Huracan: Specially Made for Drifting

By Staff Writer

Lamborghini unveiled its all new Huracan LP 580-2 which is a real wheel drive version of its popular Huracan supercar. This model is said to be an exclusive creation for drifter boys.

This version of Lamborghini LP 580-2 is essentially same as Lamborghini LP 610-4 all wheel drive, but has slightly less power than the real drive. According to the Bloomberg, similar to its $240,000 OG sibling, this new version's two wheel drive configuration will allow the power sliding and drifting that are impossible with the standard all wheel drive version.

Stephan Winkelmann, the head of the company told the Bloomberg that, "This showcases how we are moving as Lamborghini and how we are investing in our future." He also added that, this model is made for those who truly love Lamborghini but want something a little more accessible.

In the Wheels website, it is mentioned that, Lamborghini has both plus and minus. When it comes to the plus or the advantages, this model is better balanced, everything about the V10, steering feel and supercar looks inside and outside. When it comes to the minus or the disadvantages, the gear change paddles are not wheel mounted and it is too costly and not affordable. While the officials of Lamborghini said that this will be cheaper and can expect to be in the market next year for $200,000.

The MSN news reported that, the magic sideways mode in this model works well as promised. The specifications of this model include:

Vehicle type: mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive, 2-passenger, 2-door coupe

Displacement: 318 cu in, 5204 cc

Power: 572 hp @ 8000 rpm

Torque: 398 lb-ft @ 6500 rpm

Transmission: 7-speed dual-clutch automatic with manual shifting mode

The Lamborghini LP 580-2 is much slower than the original version although it has the same V10 5.2-liter engine with 580 horsepower. Its top speed is 199mph and its zero to 60mph sprint takes 3.4 seconds while the original takes 3.2 seconds.
