Groove to the Rhythm: Sonos Speakers Start Supporting Apple Music though, on Beta

By Staff Writer

The Sonos support Google Play Music, Tidal, and Spotify. Only the primary Apple Music missed the list of Sonos. With the integration of the Apple music on the Sonos system via a new beta, the users will get access to a range of features from Apple Music on the system.

According to the Leader Standard report, though the support has landed in beta form presently, the company has previously cleared up that this is a beta or early preview of Apple Music support, and also an opportunity for users to shape the experience of learning to Apple Music on Sonos in their home.

The ultimate version of the integration is supposed to launch early next year. The Apple Music commenced in the month of June and immediately it was announced by Sonos that its system will support the Apple streaming service before the end of 2015. True to their word, Sonos has integrated Apple Music which is available to the users at $9.99 per month.

Any user interested in joining the Sonos/Apple Music beta can sign-up on the Sonos site or directly on the Sonos Controller app (Android users must update the Apple Music App as well). Using the app, you can select the Settings and then Advanced Settings. You'll then need to choose Beta Program and then join the Beta Program. After joining, users will be prompted to update to the beta version, reports the App Advice blog.

Apple Music must be added to your list of services searching for it from the Add Music Service Tab. If the service is not updated immediately, the user can wait for 10 minutes and try again. The user must also select if the person is an existing user or want to go with a 3-month trial and keep following the instruction that appears on the screen.

As per the CNET report, you can add multiple Apple Music accounts to the same Sonos system. Your device will default to using your Apple Music account, ensuring your playlists and music library are always present.

It is likely that you may face issues in using the service because the Apple Music is on the beta label. Till the Apple integration is officially complete on the Sonos System which is supposed to launch early 2016, the user may anticipate repeated updates too.

Sonos have sent an email to the beta affiliates stating the list of work to be completed before the final launch. The company is working accordingly to achieve the entire set target before the release so that the users do not face any glitch as in the beta version.
