Donald Trump received millions from endorsing multilevel marketing company ACN

By Staff Writer

Donald Trump has received millions of dollars in payments for endorsements he made for multilevel marketing company ACN.

Trump reportedly received his millions from ACN over a decade's worth of advertising he did for the company.

According to the Wall Street Journal, not only was Trump one of the company's main endorsers, he was also the centerpiece of the company's marketing campaign.

Trump also featured the video phone manufactured by ACN on his old reality show, "The Celebrity Apprentice." During one of the challenges, Trump had the competitors on the show create competing promotional campaigns for the video phone.

Trump himself touted the virtues of ACN's video phone on the show, saying it was "amazing." The mogul's comments on the reality show regarding ACN's video phone appeared on the company's website along with a photo of Trump appearing with the company's founders. Currently, the references to Trump on ACN's website have been deleted.

Word that Trump received millions of dollars from ACN to be one of their main endorsers came to light after campaign documents revealed that the real estate mogul made three separate appearances for the company in 2014, receiving a fee of $450,000 each time he did so.

Trump has since claimed that he knows very little about the inner workings of ACN. Trump added that he is only familiar with ACN through the people who run and manage it, according to the Charlotte Observer.

The real estate mogul also commented on the appearances of ACN's products on his former show. According to him, the company paid a lot of money to appear on the "Celebrity Apprentice" and that the episode focused on the company amounted more to being a two-hour commercial rather than the typical TV ad.

In related news, Trump has outlined his plan to help eliminate the problem of illegal immigration.

One of the plan's main proposals is to build a wall along the southern border of the United States, with the idea being that it would discourage people from the other side to cross over into the country. Trump added that part of his plan for the wall includes making the country of Mexico pick up the bill by increasing fees related to border movement between the two countries, according to the New York Times.

The real estate mogul has made the topic of illegal immigration one of the most visible points of his presidential campaign, even taking time during the announcement of his candidacy to offer his thoughts on the issue.

Trump is currently the leader in the polls for Republican presidential candidates.
