PregSense updates moms with fetal monitoring through wearable device

PregSense monitor is a device developed by Israeli medical experts. It aims to monitor fatal activities inside the mother's womb where she can check the baby's activity like heart rates, hand position or if the baby is awake or not. A Bluetooth function is used in the monitoring to gather and send data from the baby to smartphone.

Nuvo Group, headed by Oren Oz, is manufacturing the device and preparing it for the huge market of pregnant women. The device is using a cloud-based storage to secure the information and only the mother or their doctors can have the credentials to open the database.

One good thing about the device, aside from fatal monitoring, PregSense can also help the doctors in anticipating and determining future complication with the pregnancy and the baby's health condition. Using the smartphone app, they can send visual representation of the information they gathered from the wearable monitor.

Mother's health condition is also being tracked and the device will send the same information to the smartphone. You can now have mother and baby monitoring in one device.

Novu Group has been developing other device that helps ease the pain of pregnancy like the Ritmo strap that allows mother to stream relaxing music and let the fetus enjoy the beat from the device.

According to Michal, a mother in her 32-week of pregnancy, she is feeling nervous with her pregnancy but upon trying the PregSense she gets a sense of relief. She can now hear her baby's heart beat and a better connection with the baby is being developed along the process.

Continuous fatal monitoring is the best feature of this device. Pregnant mothers can now lessen the number of doctor visits during the whole span of pregnancy. PregSense is a device that advances the old way of prenatal check up and ultrasound. Nuvo Group will soon deliver a better pregnancy care management for mothers, probably in 2016.
