Apple set to release a native Watch SDK preview at WWDC; Native watch apps to be released this fall

A lot of developments are coming to Apple Watch applications later this year and among these improvements is a software development kit (SDK) which will be used to create native watch apps. While these apps are expected to be out this fall, the company's senior vice president of operations, Jeff Williams, confirmed that its kit will be released at its Worldwide Developer Conference starting on June 8.

Apple has already confirmed earlier that the native Apple Watch apps are definitely going to be rolled out in 2015. However, the company's senior vice president of operations, Jeff Williams, who supervises the Watch and its manufacturing and supply chain, has confirmed during the Code Conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California that it won't be available until later this year.

The native watch apps are set to run directly on the watch which strengthens its performance and allows them to run even without the iPhone in range. Its software development kit which is going to be released during Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference on June 8th to 12th will allow the developers to connect straightly to the watch's sensors and Digital Crown and probably to its speaker and microphone.

Once the SDK will be released, more capable applications will be designed for the watch which will offer interesting and less slow feature sets. According to Williams, the said apps are expected to be released this fall once the developers have already explored the preview SDK.

Unitl now, most Apple Watch is connected over from their iOS apps which require to be routed in the iPhone first in order to transfer downloadable content to the watch.

"Customers love the Apple Watch, and more so than I ever thought," Williams said. "A common refrain is that the Watch is liberating."

However, The Company's SVP of operations refused to disclose any information regarding the number of devices Apple has been able to ship as the Apple Watch is currently under the new and hyped product category on Wall Street. The revenue from the product as well as the other products in the same category is said to be joined together for the company's earnings reports in the future.
