Snapchat Latest Update: Zoom in While Shooting Video

By Staff Writer

Snapchat users who have been unsatisfied with the applications' limited video shooting options do not need to complain anymore as Snapchat has recently updated the application with additional zooming features.

Smartphones' regular cameras allow the user to zoom in and zoom out in just a simple pinch on the screen and this is what the popular video messaging application lacks in its video options. However, in Snapchat's latest update, a tricky video zooming capability was finally included.

This might sound exciting but in order to get this new feature going, the user needs to update his or her Snapchat application first to its latest 9.7.0 version. Once updated, the app can now allow users to begin filming a video by holding down the record button. Quite a bit tricky, users must drag another finger up the screen to zoom in or down to zoom out. The user needs to do this without losing contact with the record button.

Remember that the users do not need to pinch the screen anymore just like in the built-in video recorder of all smartphones. Snapchat's new zooming feature might be difficult to use at first but with frequent use, users will surely become accustomed to it.

The video messaging application has been introducing new updates which include this new video feature. Just recently, Snapchat updated the app with a new component which enables users to privately send their friends some clips from the Discover feature. Since the last update, its number of viewers has immediately leapt by 50 percent in only a few months.

Meanwhile, for those who still do not have Snapchat's latest version 9.7.0, it can be downloaded in iTunes and Google Play for iOS and Android users respectively.
