Will we see a thinner iPad Mini 4 this year? Samsung to supply processor to Apple?

By Staff Reporter

Everything is still under wraps on whether the new and upcoming iPad Mini 4 will be out before the year ends. Users though will surely get to see a thinner and improved version of the iPad Mini 3 as soon as the new gadget becomes available.

STILL IN THE MAKING

According to a source, while there are reports that the iPad Mini 4 will be released by October of this year, it is likely that it will not be unveiled yet since Apple is focusing on the iPhone 6+ and the reported 12.9-inch iPad Pro or iPad plus. The iPad Mini 4 is said to be thinner than previous iPads, most  probably 7.9 inches in length and has features better than that of the iPad Mini 3. Moreover, it is still being verified if Apple and Samsung have indeed entered into an agreement that the latter will bring in the A9 processor to its rival.

SAMSUNG & APPLE

In case this pushes through, a source says this would make Samsung, considered as the world's second biggest chipmaker, bounce back against TSMC, which made their way to supplying iPhone and iPad chips last year. It also quoted a source as saying that if the Ipad Mini 4 will be sold lesser than the iPad Mini 3 which costs $399 and said not to be worth it, it would make the anticipated gadget more attractive. There is also word that this may be available on Verizon.

Another report says the iPad Mini 4 is assumed to redeem many consumers' disappointment on its predecessor. The iPad Mini 3 received unsatisfactory feedback from some consumers comparing the iPad Air 2 to be thinner, faster and more protected. Many consumers have high hopes for the upcoming gadget.

Fans of the Ipad Mini will just need to stay tuned as we bring more updates on the final release date for the iPad Mini 4 soon.
