Although the next complete solar eclipse will only last for a little over five minutes, fast-food restaurants and other businesses are using the occasion to launch days of promotions. These include discounts, free snacks, and solar eclipse glasses that are limited to one hundred pieces.

The "totality" of the April 8 eclipse, which occurs when the moon totally covers the sun, will traverse 15 states, from Texas to Maine, and many cities and sites along that line will be among those hoping to profit from the event. Nearly everyone in North America will be able to see some portion of the eclipse.

Solar Eclipse Deals

Locations with unique landing sites and advertising include Erie County, Pennsylvania, which is providing ISO-certified eclipse glasses at three highway rest stations on a first-come, first-served basis from Friday through Monday. In addition, county fairs in the northwest Pennsylvania region are providing eclipse glasses with every transaction.

There are eateries in Indianapolis that serve cosmic-themed drinks along the eclipse line. Limited-edition eclipse glasses, infield parking, and entry tickets costing $20 are being offered by NASA and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Blacked Out weekend at the Waters Hotel in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, including a rooftop solar eclipse viewing party.

Live watching events are also being held at other locations, such as Waco, Texas's McLane Stadium, where tickets for what is advertised as a VIP experience are completely sold out.

From April 1 to the big day, Warby Parker will be giving away free, ISO-certified solar eclipse spectacles at its stores.

According to culinary blogger Markie Devo, Krispy Kreme and Oreo are collaborating to provide a Total Solar Eclipse Doughnut on Instagram.

Dippin; Dots is providing customers who use the coupon code eclipse25 with a 25% discount on online orders.

Members of the Burger King loyalty club may obtain a buy-one-get-one-free Whopper bargain on the company's app or website by texting ECLIPSE to 251251 between April 8 and April 15.

From April 8 through April 14, Marco's Pizza is giving 50% off all menu-priced pizzas when you enter the promo code ECLIPSE when placing an online or app order.

Pizza Hut, a Yum Brands company, is offering any big pizza for $12 as part of a current campaign called a "Total Eclipse of the Hut."

Malley's Chocolates, a Cleveland-based company, is selling a delicacy dubbed the Eclipse Ahoy for $2.75 both online and at its 19 physical locations in Northwest Ohio. The candy maker's recipe calls for coating a Chips Ahoy cookie in dark chocolate and galaxy sprinkles after giving it a creamy white bottom and chewy caramel on top.

Collectible eclipse glasses are being offered by Jeni's Ice Creams with online orders for its Punk Stargonaut collection through Wednesday. The glasses will also be available in-store starting on Friday, subject to availability.

A 2024 Total Eclipse survival kit from MoonPie is available for $9.99. It comes with two pairs of ISO-certified MoonPie-branded solar eclipse glasses and four chocolate MoonPie minis. The glasses are available for purchase for $1.99 each.

Blue Moon Brewing Co.'s Eclipse Sips package, which will be on sale for $25 on the business website midday on Wednesday, does not include beer. A flashlight, four Blue Moon pint bottles, black light coasters, and "moon dust" are included in the kits to give the company's Blue Moon White Belgian-Style wheat brew a "shimmer and glow."

In anticipation of the eclipse, Sonic Drive-In introduced a Blackout Slush Float on March 25 that will be available across the country through May 5. A complimentary set of eclipse viewing glasses is included with every purchase of the drink with cosmic inspiration.

While supplies last, Frito Lays' SunChips are giving out a special taste for free for a certain period of time. At 1:33 PM, fans who submit with their email address here will have a chance to win a bag of Solar Eclipse chips. Friday during the eclipse at Central. Fans may enter to win one of three randomly selected SunChips swag bags filled with goods, including a blanket, by posting their viewing plans on the SunChips Instagram account before to the big day.
