The first primary debate between the 2016 Presidential candidates of the Grand Old Party (GOP) or the Republicans is set to take place this coming August 6 in Ohio and it is to be hosted by Fox News and Facebook.

The first Republican primary debate is to be presented with the Ohio Republican party and will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland. Although the number of the presidential bets from the Republican Party is not yet finalized, the date was already set.

There are already six candidates who officially announced their candidacy. In the coming weeks, more candidates are expected to seek nomination for the post in the White House.

Fox News' hosts Bret Baier, Megyn Kelly, and Chris Wallace will be moderating the first Republican primary debate. Facebook on the other hand will be used by Fox News viewers and Facebook users as platform to post questions to the GOP 2016 Presidential candidates via a video. Some questions will actually be used during the debate, as per announcement by Fox News.

The candidates who will undergo the primary debate should pass all the constitutional requirements such as announcing and registering a formal campaign, filing all required paperwork with the Federal Election Commission, and has recognized national polls up to August 4. This was announced by the Executive Vice President of News Editorial of Fox News, Michael Clemente.

Clemente added that the debate will be aired live from 9 to 11 P.M. on Fox News Channel and will also be covered by other Fox News media outlets such as Fox News Radio, Fox News Mobile and FoxNews.com.

Facebook's Andy Mitchell of the News and Global Media Partnership shared that the inclusion of Facebook in hosting the primary debate is to provide Americans a new and unique way to be part of the debate.
