Disneyland's MagicBand is something to try on; also has My Disney Experience App, a downloadable mobile app

Here's how Disney uses technology to conjure a truly magical experience for its guests.

Disney now features 'MagicBand.' It is a wristband that uses RFID technology (radio frequency identification) that takes care of everything while you're in Disneyland. You can use it to pay for food, unlock your hotel room, buy merchandise and book dining reservations.

This MagicBand makes your visit to Disneyland easy and seamless, mainly because you don't have to spend a lot of time waiting in long lines anymore when entering the park. Once inside the park, you will be recognized by Disneyland cast (aka attendants) and address you by your name. Amazing, isn't it?

"The folks who are saying the MyMagic+ experience is excellent is the vast, vast majority of folks who are using it, and that, we know, is good for our business," Tom Staggs said, Chief Operating Officer for Walt Disney Company.

Have you heard of the "My Disney Experience App?" Using your smartphone, you can check out the available time slots for the rides or any attractions you want to go into without the hassle of piling up in the line. You can access this app on either mobile device or computer.

Also, this app lets you book restaurants and check for any entertainment inside the theme park. Moreover, pictures can be reviewed in your PhotoPass by using this app, too.

"We will bring variations on MyMagic+ to our parks and other businesses around the world," stated Staggs. He also said that he's open on doing other wearable technology with the same functions as the MagicBand which can also be used outside Walt Disney World.
