Mark Wahlberg is hopeful about Donald Trump's presidency. This must encourage the Trump transition team as the intellectuals have been projecting a totally different kind of a picture.

According to many intellectuals, the United States will soon hit a record low. Many of them believe Donald Trump is going to take the country to jeopardy. But, the Hollywood actor thinks something else.

Wahlberg says he is a positive person. And that is why he has hopes about American under Trump's leadership. He wants to be optimistic that the future is going to be better than the present.

The Patriots Day actor was promoting his upcoming film about the Boston Marathon bombings. He was with director Peter Berg. The 45-year-old said his optimistic nature was because of his Catholic faith.

Wahlberg said he had regular conversations with Berg on this issue. The director is apparently convinced that Wahlberg is trying to convert him to Catholicism. But, Wahlberg disagrees. He believes life is short, even for someone who lives for 100 years.

It reminds me that things can always be worse and how lucky I am, how blessed I am, how fortunate I am and I want to encourage people to have the ability to look at things in a positive way," E! Online quoted the actor as talking about his faith.

The actor said he had to talk about terrorism to his four kids and give them an explanation. He believes it is important for the kids to understand terrorism. But, he wants them to learn something from the movie. He wants them to understand that people can't go and hide no matter how many times incidents like the Boston Marathon bombings happened.

"We have to stand up and fight back and do that with love and I think that ultimately that will make them better and stronger as people."

According to the Boston Globe, it is a very personal movie for Mark Wahlberg. Patriots Day will have a limited release on Dec. 21.
