China's Oukitel to Launch smartphone with a battery life of 10 - 15 days

Chinese manufacturer Outkitel will launch a smartphone with battery life capable of lasting up to 15 days on a full charge.

CNET reported that Outkitel's new K10,000 phone will have a 10,000 mAh battery life, which it boasts to keep the device running from 10 to 15 days if fully charged. The phone was announced in July and can already be preordered at $240. It will officially be released in January.

The phone is 5.5-inch size, with a 1,280x720-pixel display. It has a 2GB RAM capacity. It also features an 8-megapixel rear camera. It runs on MTK6735 Quad Core processor.

Meanwhile, ZDNet wrote that battery life is one of the major issues facing smartphones. The available batteries have lithium-ion cells, which are not strong enough to provide long lasting power. With bigger and powerful devices, it would be harder to provide power with this type of battery.

Apple tried to address this issue with their new $99 Smart Battery Case after it received complaints on its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. The new Mate 8 phablet by Huawei and Xiaomi's Note 3 phablet is powered by 4,000mAh capacity batteries, which is not even half to Oukitel's 10,000mAh.

According to Business Standard, Oukitel's new phone has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and 4G capabilities. The Chinese company also recently launched their K4,000, which only has 4,000 mAh battery. That phone has anti-crash corning gorilla glass and can last up to seven days.

In a statement posted on its official website, Outkitel said, "It can crack more than 600 walnuts before the screen breaks. You don't need to worry about your smartphone if you drop it accidentally and the phone is run over by a car."

The phone also has a unique and innovative design. It doesn't look like an Apple iPhone imitation. Instead, it looks more like the gaming phone of Acer called Predator 6.
