By Staff Writer

Wells Fargo & Company announced that it will give $50,000 to the victims of the San Bernardino shooting.

Business Wire reported that the company gave the amount to the San Bernardino United Relief Fund to help the families of the victims of the shoot out that happened at the Inland Regional Center on December 2. The fund is a combined initiative of the Arrowhead United Way and the San Bernardino Country Board of Supervisors to help the families of the victims of the attack.

"Our sincerest thanks go out to the Arrowhead United Way and the county Board of Supervisors for working tirelessly to support those affected by this tragedy," said Greater Los Angeles lead regional president David DiCristofaro. "As a member of this community with 1,300 team members working in San Bernardino, Wells Fargo was shaken to its core by this tragedy, and we want to help the healing process in any way we can."

Meanwhile, the Press Enterprise reported that there is an increasing number of donors for the San Bernardino United Relief Fund. By December 15, the organization had already raised $146,000. Besides Wells Fargo & Company, Ontario Mills is another company that extended help to the cause.

The company re-purposed its wishing wells in its 1.5 million square foot mall to support Arrowhead Unity Way for the entire month of December. Its vice president and general manager Marc Smith said Ontario Mills will give a monetary donation of up to $5,000. Smith said they feel for the victims and those affected and they aim to somehow provide "normality."

Street Wise wrote that the San Bernardino United Relief Fund is made up of community members and prominent people from faith-based organizations, law enforcement, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other parts of the community. The funds will be used to help the family members of those who died, the injured and the rest of the people affected by the horrible event.
