The luxury British carmaker is looking for a possible location for its new plant and choosing from four different locations in Britain, USA, and the Middle East.  

According to a report from Reuters, Aston Martin has an expansion program and hopes to increase its profitability with its existing line up of luxury sports car designs. It's also looking forward selling its brand new crossover utility vehicle, the DBX, which has Mercedes Benz underpinnings.

The 19 possible locations have been narrowed down to six to build up the targeted 5,000 DBX units. A month ago, Lawmaker Andrew Mitchell said that an 80 acre property in Sutton Coldfield is in pole position to be chosen as the new site. If the right terms will be reached, the new assembly plant could create 1,000 jobs and will boost the economy in the area.   

A report from Auto Blog, however, suggests that if Aston Martin is to produce the DBX, it is most likely will choose the Alabama location in the USA to cut cost as it's very near where Mercedes Benz builds the GLE and GLS class models. But if it chooses to build the DBX in its own chassis, then it could open a whole lot of different possibilities.

Little is known about the location from the Middle East but being that Aston Martin is largely Kuwaiti owned, with 56 percent holdings, the oil rich Persian Gulf nation looks to be chosen just as much as its British and American counterparts.

According to The Korea Herald, the company has been looking to expand to the female market that's why it's going to produce the DBX.  It's a female friendly sports car in an SUV package.

In a statement, Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said, "We have learned the difference in the size of the hands, feet hanging off the floor when driving ... and the fact that women generally want to sit higher up to secure safety. We are trying to make sure that we track women as the customers of our products."

The DBX is rumored to rollout in 2019 but Aston Martin hasn't confirmed yet.
